CARNIVAL DANGER SHOW
(15-60 Minute Set)
The Classic Sideshow, or freak show, was made up of individuals with strange and fantastical talents such as walking across a bed of broken glass or hammering pointed objects into one's face. Hendrix performs acts from the old Side Show with an elegant and a sexy edge. It's all at once fascinating, frightening and gross. Essential to any carnival, burlesque or circus themed show.
GRINDER GIRL SHOW
(5-10 Minute Set)
The notorious Angle Grinder, brings power tools dangerously close to vital parts, Carisa Hendrix shoots waves of sparks from metal belt buckles and chest plates risking life and certainly limb in a beautiful dramatic display. If it sounds unbelievable, it's because it is.
STILT WALKING
Perfect for adding atmosphere to your event, stilt walkers and roving characters can wander amongst the crowds and interact with party goers. Her stilts offer something a little different, using fiberglass leaf springs allows the performer to bounce and jump. Wonderful to watch.
PROP-MANIPULATION (POI, HOOPING, STAFF)
Poi is the art of spinning lights or fire around the body in a dazzling mix of dance and martial art, an act popular on the beaches of Thailand.
Hoop dancing is a beautiful, high energy dance form which is a definite crowd pleaser. A performance can take the form of a dazzling five minute choreographed routine or an hour of background to add that little something wonderful to your next event. With a ton of tricks and a touch of something extra. It's OK to stare, she expects it.
BALLOON SCULPTING
It’s not just the ballon, it’s the experience of seeing it come to life. Hendrix sees each special ballon creation as a small performance with a gift at the end. Having taught children professionally for years and brings that experience to her playful interactions.
Carisa Hendrix is fully insured for performances in Canada, Mexico and the USA and always obtain an "Open Flame" permit from the local fire prevention authorizes for every fire performance. She is a council member of the North American Fire Arts Associations and takes safety very seriously.
